Lunch debate with Laurent Perbos

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, Les Coulisses de l'Art welcomed visual artist Laurent Perbos, on the occasion of the exhibition of his work "La Beauté et le Geste" on the steps of the Palais Bourbon, in front of the colonnade built from 1806 in the manner of a Greek temple.

This work celebrates the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games with its six Venus de Milos transformed to represent six sports disciplines: tennis, surfing, para archery, basketball, boxing and javelin throwing. The Venus, who finds her arms again for the occasion, celebrates the sporting "beautiful gesture" in a polychromy that evokes the colors of the Olympic rings.
