« MODE AU FUTUR » au Musée de Bourgoin-Jallieu

“FIDO TO THE FUTURE” at the Museum of Burgundy-Jallieu

We are happy to participate in the new exhibition at the Musée de Bougoin-Jallieu: “MODE AT THE FUTURE”. A new partnership with stylist Anna-Barbara Aumüller, after the success of the exhibition "ARTISANS DU LUXURY" in 2015.

The VILLANDRY model has summer chosen, made in a precious fabric from Japan: the nishijin-ori, so named because it comes from a province with this name near Kyoto, where it has been woven for plus twelve centuries. It is one of the traditional fabrics among the plus representative of Japan, used for the manufacture of kimonos. It uses different types of colored threads, including gold, silver or circuit board threads, to assemble them at the time of weaving in decorative elements.

This nishijin-ori piece comes from Kaji Orimono, a weasher who has been living in Kyoto for plus 150 years and met during a travelling in Japan. The fabric is of rare finesse, with changing appearances depending on the incidence of the light, with unparalleled depth. In addition, it has summer woven so as to be usable on both sides.

To highlight these different qualities in the best way, the bag has summer designed without lining and shaped by means of flexible leather angles made from an exclusive patented process. Anna-Barbara Aumüller's team had the idea of inserting a light device inside the bag to best reveal the diaphanous beauty of the precious fabric.

Bourgoin-Jallieu is a dynamic city in the textile sector, with several successful companies in this sector. The museum is housed in the old chapel of the Antonins built in 1503 and the Hôtel-Dieu built in the 18th century. At the gates of Lyon, it asserts itself as a dynamic museum in the history of the textile industry in Rhône-Alpes and presents the history of fabric printing, the entire part. part of the Lyon silk factory.

Anna-Barbara Aumüller presents a partnership work with many innovative companies, whether textile or not, and various workshops with the know-how sought. Alliance of luxury and technology, declining technical and avant-garde textile or even from recycling, the exhibition background designs the links still existing between the fashion industry and textile companies.
